Inside the Living Room
Conversations for living fully through life's hardest transitions.
A thoughtful space for women navigating grief, caregiving, life transitions, emotional exhaustion, difficult relationships, and the quiet question
"What now?"
Through honest conversation, guided reflection, workshops, writing, and community, Inside the Living Room helps people reconnect to themselves and create meaning, connection, and possibility after difficult seasons in their life.
You don't have to have all the answers to pull up a chair. If you've spent years caring for others, carrying responsibilities, navigating grief, or simply wondering what this next season of life might hold, I'd invite you to begin here.

You are not alone in this.
Maybe you've spent years caring for others and forgotten how to care for yourself.
Maybe grief, illness, divorce, caregiving, burnout, life transition, or a hard season has changed you in ways people around you cannot fully see.
Maybe you look functional on the outside while quietly carrying exhaustion, uncertainty, resentment, or loneliness underneath it all.
Or maybe you simply know there has to be more to life than surviving it.
No matter why you're here, welcome to Inside The Living Room. Take a seat.
What we talk about here.
Emotional Exhaustion Many women become so practiced at carrying responsibilities that they stop noticing how depleted they've become. Together, we explore the hidden cost of always being the strong one - and what it means to finally acknowledge your own needs.
Identity & Reconnecting to Yourself After years of caregiving, responsibility, or survival, many women find themselves asking :"Who am I now?" Together, we explore the journey of rediscovering your voice, your needs, your desires, and the parts of yourself that may have been waiting quietly beneath the surface.
Caregiving & Family Responsibility Caring for those we love can be deeply meaningful, but it can also be emotionally consuming. We talk honestly about caregiving, family dynamics, aging parents, illness, responsibility, and the challenges of supporting others without losing yourself in the process.
Rest, Boundaries & Self-Compassion Rest is not weakness. Boundaries are not selfish. Yet many women struggle with both. We explore what it means to slow down, care for yourself with the same kindness you offer others, and create a life that includes room for you too.
Grief & Life Transitions Grief changes more than we expect. Whether you've experienced loss, illness, changing roles, divorce, retirement, an empty nest, or simply the end of a season of life, this is a place to explore how change reshapes us - and how we move forward with compassion.
Joy, Meaning & Possibility Eventually the conversation shifts from what we've been carrying to what we can create. We explore joy, purpose, curiosity, meaningful connection, and the possibility of living more fully - not simply surviving, but truly inhabiting our lives.
Overfunctioning & Emotional Responsibility Many women quietly become responsible for everyone's needs, emotions, and wellbeing. We explore the difference between caring and carrying, the hidden burden of overfunctioning, and how to create healthier boundaries without losing your compassion.
Honest Conversations Some truths remain unspoken for years. Here, we create space for the conversations many women long to have about loneliness, resentment, relationships, needs, dreams, disappointment, healing, and the realities of being human. Because healing often begins when we discover we are not the only one.

Where are You Right Now?
Sometimes we know we've been carrying too much long before we understand what it's costing us.
Maybe you're tired. Maybe you've lost touch with parts of yourself along the way. Or perhaps life has changed, and you're simply wondering who you are now - and what comes next.
The Living Room Reflection Check-In is a gentle, private reflection designed to help you notice where you are in this season of your life.
In just a few minutes, you'll reflect on emotional exhaustion, identity, relationships, grief, and transition - and receive a personal reflection based on what you're carrying right now.
No diagnosis. No labels. Nothing to buy.
Just a quiet place to notice where you are.

Karen's Story ...
I know what it means to hold grief and possibility at the same time. I also know what it means to have been disconnected from yourself and any sense of living a meaningful life. I've been lost too.
I've spent years caregiving for a daughter with disabilities, a husband with a life limiting illness, and a mom with dementia. All while managing a successful professional career and an entrepreneurial business, divorce, hard relationships, everything else that needs managing, and loss.
In the past few years, I lost myself. Unsure of who I had become or where I was. I needed a way to get back to myself. To reconnect with who I was, and how I could rediscover meaning and joy in my life.
My writing and reflective tools are what brought me back.
This wasn't about fixing or reinventing myself. It was about quiet, gentle reflection, moving slowly, and eventually, reconnecting to myself and rediscovering how to be fully alive.
I hope Inside the Living Room offers you the safe space, community, resources, and reflective tools to help you do the same.
Welcome home.
